Post Symposium Report
The profile of New Zealand’s aromatic wines, and Nelson as a wine region, were greatly enhanced by the inaugural Nelson Aromatics Symposium, held at Upper Moutere on Saturday, 3rd February. Following on from the Pinot Noir 2007 event held in Wellington, many international wine writers, wine buyers and sellers, winemakers and wine enthusiasts took the chance to travel on to Nelson to attend this one day symposium. The 160 places for the event sold out over three months ago.

Post Symposium comments
“Any symposium that can call on the talents, wines and opinions of Jeff Grosset and Olivier Humbrecht has got a real head start, and the Nelson event built on them with considerable aplomb. The quality of the Kiwi wines was excellent (or should that be ixcillint'?) and the speakers were first rate. I hope this is the first of many such events.”
